Hello! How is everyone?
Well, for me, I’m just starting to wrap up the end of my first week of the June Holidays. Honestly, the excitement level of this break seems bleak, but I’m keeping optimistic about the possibilities of summer.
This is basically a short life update. It’s been a mundane, monotone lull of activities – school, library, repeat. I’ve been trying to rush through my homework, but the teachers keep piling more, and I don’t know how to feel about that. I know they mean well, but what is the point, if there’s so much that the students don’t get a deserved break, and they don’t really absorb whatever they’re learning because they’re just manically bulldozing their way through? (For me, at least.)
At least I have a few break-time snacks with me. One, is the new South Korean reality TV show Roommates which I cannot get enough of. There is something alluring about seeing 11 people living together – a mixture of idols, singers, actors, models, sportsmen and comedians. It’s like going onto Youtube and watching people play Sims you know? Probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but I spent hours fantasizing about being one of the roommates, living in that luxurious dream house and having my life entangled in this mess of fun. One can dream, right? Basically, this has been my escape as I find myself drooling over the eye-candy in the show and wishing, wishing, wishing that someday, my life can be as picture perfect. One can dream.
Moving on. Despite my busy schedule, I have in line many exciting activities and adventures that I wish to embark on. For starters, I will be going to Cambodia in the later part of the month, and I am so looking forward to it I have even coordinated my outfits. I’ll be documenting my trip with photos and videos, so stay tuned to that! Also in my checklist is this project: The Hopeful Notes . It is a no-fuss activity that just requires that little bit of heart and soul. Basically people who know and want to get involved in the project can brighten up their community by pasting these little post-it notes of kindness and consideration in public places. I think it’s a great way to spice up the holidays – what better than with compassion, right? – but at the same time I worry about Singapore’s vandalizing system and all.____.
Lastly, I just want to inform everyone to stay tuned to my blog because next week will be a flurry of fun! I’m so hyped up for the activities lined up then, and the friends I’m going to hang out with, of course.
And now, just gonna post the pictures I took over the week. (It’s 2am by the way. What is wrong with my body.)
