Cambodia – I
by The Dreamer
It’s been a long time since I’ve brought up the subject – this wonderful land rich in history and beautiful people. Since I don’t have the time to write lengthy blogs, I’ll leave my photos to do the talking.
On the way to the airport. It was barely even dawn.
The sun peeks through. I was experimenting with my new camera.
About to take off.
Literal bird’s eye view.
At the edge of our island!
In Social Studies and from textbooks, we’ve constantly been told that Singapore had thrived from its port industry. Only after seeing this sight – ships, densely dotting the sea – did this realization really sink in.
My entertainment. (PS. Read the book. Didn’t get the whole damn thing. But it was weird to the extent of being good?)
My lunch – cheese omelette with mushrooms, sausage and vegetables in tomato sauce. It would have been good if I wasn’t so full already ):
More cotton candy.
Touched down on Cambodia ground!
I was still getting used to the thick accent at this point.
My accommodation for the next three days.
The view from my resort.
My pass for the next few days.
First meal in Cambodia.
Fish Amok – basically just fish with green curry in a young coconut.
Dog feeling as sunburnt as I am. It was ridiculously hot in Cambodia.
Cambodia has, hands down, the coolest trees in the world.
This tree has a golden appearance for some reason. And this is the temple that has been enveloped by trees.
The tree literally grew out of the temple.
Watercolour portraits from a young painter sitting in the temple.
Me looking like a weirdo.
The tree’s kinda like, “No! Back off. Temple, MINE.”
Tour guide being weird.
The steps were steep as hell. So that basically concluded my Day One! I had some night activities as well, but they were in another camera, so I will upload them sooner or later. I really love Cambodia so much, ugh. I wanna squish it, and hug it and never let it go.
